Speech therapy falls under basic care. Please be advised that Silderhuis Speech Therapy has contracts with all health insurance companies for 2025.
Silderhuis speech therapy has not concluded contracts for 2024 with all health insurers, so speech therapy is not always fully reimbursed. If you are insured with Ditzo, De Amersfoortse or ASR, you will receive an invoice directly from us. You can check the reimbursement amount with your health insurance company. Please note that from the age of 18 the rules for excess apply.

At Silderhuis Speech Therapy, we value multidisciplinary collaboration. Sometimes we may need to attend consultation sessions with other health care providers or prepare a report for third parties, outside of the original referrer.
However, these activities are not covered by regular speech therapy treatments reimbursed by health insurance companies.
Should you wish to use these additional services, we will carry them out in consultation with you. In that case, you will receive an invoice, which must be paid by yourself.

For optimal results of speech therapy treatment, regularity and continuity are very important.
Silderhuis Speech Therapy therefore reserves the right to discontinue treatment if bills, including default bills, are not paid within the agreed upon time frame.
The speech therapist may also decide, without further notice, to terminate the treatment if you fail to show up for the appointment more than twice without cancellation. If you cancel an appointment three times within three months, even if outside the 24-hour cancellation period, the treatment may also be terminated.
Providing high-quality care is our goal, and regular attendance is essential for that.

Silderhuis Speech Therapy works exclusively with speech therapists who are registered in the Quality Register Paramedics . This means that our speech therapists meet all set quality and educational requirements.
In addition, our practice has passed the voluntary quality test, confirming that we meet the quality requirements of both our professional association and health insurance companies. We also always participate in the voluntary quality cycle.
We also conduct regular client satisfaction surveys to ensure and improve the quality of care. You will be invited to do so by e-mail at the end of the treatment process. We carefully analyze this data and use it within our quality management.
Because we feel it is important to train new colleagues, in some cases you may have to deal with an intern supporting the attending speech therapist.

At Silderhuis Speech Therapy, you can apply through Direct Accessibility Speech Therapy (DTL) .
This means that you do not need a referral from a (family) physician to make an appointment with us. With a DTL registration, we perform a brief screening during the first appointment to assess whether there are any underlying medical conditions that may affect further treatment by the speech therapist. If necessary, we will refer you to a physician for further medical evaluation.

At Silderhuis Speech Therapy, we safeguard your privacy in accordance with the WGBO (Medical Treatment Agreement Act) and the AVG (General Data Protection Regulation).
We handle your personal and medical information with care. This data is used only for the purpose of providing the necessary care. For a detailed explanation of how we process your data, please refer to our privacy policy, which can be found on our website.

As a client of Silderhuis Speech Therapy, you are entitled to care of the highest quality. Should you nevertheless be dissatisfied or have a complaint about your treatment, please discuss this in the first instance with your speech therapist.
If you cannot work it out together, please contact practice manager Ilona Silderhuis, who will consult with you and the attending speech therapist to find an appropriate solution.
If a satisfactory resolution is not reached, you may use the Paramedics’ Complaint and Dispute Resolution System at www.klachtenloketparamedici.nl.
Our practice is affiliated with the WKKGZ (Wet kwaliteit, klachten en geschillen zorg), which means that your complaint will be handled in a professional and objective manner.

At Silderhuis Speech Therapy, we follow the legally required reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse.
If one of our speech therapists suspects domestic violence or child abuse, they are required to report these signs according to the reporting code.
We use the reporting code as drawn up by our professional association, the NVLF (Dutch Association for Speech Therapy and Phoniatrics) . More information about this reporting code can be found on the website of the NVLF.
