About me
In 2008 I graduated from the Hogeschool Utrecht speech therapy training. After my training I immediately started working at Jose van Dongen Speech Therapy for three days a week. On the other days I did several observations for other practices in the region. Eventually after a number of observations I started working at Jose van Dongen the whole week and I never left.
Within the practice, which now falls under Silderhuis speech therapy, I work primarily with infants and children aged 0-2 years with feeding problems. I work a lot together with different disciplines. Among other things, I have short lines of communication with the Albert Schweitzer Hospital and the Sophia Children’s Hospital. Within the ASZ I participate in the Eetteam and the Downteam. I like to work in a multidisciplinary way, this way I can best support parents/caregivers and their child with the help they need in the field of eating and/or drinking. Every child, parent and situation is unique and this requires a unique approach every time.
In order to do my job to the best of my ability and to keep growing in my work, I have done various continuing education, training and courses. I am affiliated with two quality circles, am registered with the NVLF, in the quality register of paramedics and the quality register of preverbal speech therapy.
I also participate in the 0-2 year old working group and am a member of the NVPL.
