About me
My name is Dieke Benjamin – ten Broeke and I graduated as a speech therapist in Utrecht in 1995. I then did substitutes at several schools for children with severe speech/language difficulties (ESM). There I helped children with severe articulation problems and helped children communicate as effectively as possible through Total Communication. During that time, I also completed two courses in Dutch with Signs. Then I started working in several private practices and saw mainly children, but also enjoyed being an all-round speech therapist by also seeing several adults with voice problems and/or sometimes aphasia.
At the SBO school where I worked after that, I saw many children with behavioral problems and autism.
After working at an SBO school, I gained a lot of experience working with multilingualism issues, in Utrecht and Amsterdam.
I have recently specialized in dyslexia and reading and/or spelling problems.
I enjoy working again close to home at Silderhuislogopedie. I work at the practice in Mijdrecht on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
